The Role of Compliance in Telehealth Adoption - information from ATA concurrent session 37 moderated by Bosch Healthcare President Derek Newell

San Antonio, TX, May 2010 - Derek Newell, President of Robert Bosch Healthcare, moderated on May 17 at the American Telehealth Association Conference concurrent session 37: The Role of Compliance in Telehealth Adoption. This session examined how patient compliance can greatly impact the effectiveness of remote monitoring systems. The discussion centered on data gathered through the Care Management of High Cost Beneficiaries Demonstration Project, sponsored by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and carried out at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center in Washington and Bend Memorial Clinic in Oregon. The project began in 2006 and will continue through at least 2010.
